I am currently working on my Ph.D. dissertation at the Computational Modeling lab (CoMo) in Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Belgium. The working title of my thesis is Decentralized Coordination in Multi-agent Systems.

My main interests lie in the fields of decentralized multi-agent systems and machine learning. My work focuses on the development of intelligent algorithms for coordination and self-organization of decentralized systems, such as wireless sensor networks. My research aims to make autonomous agents collectively optimize their behavior in a decentralized manner, through learning.

As a second track, I study the emergence of coordination in (social) networks. In these networks I apply decentralized reinforcement learning algorithms to make highly constrained autonomous agents adapt their behavior to other agents based only on local interactions and limited feedback. Research topics: Decentralized Systems, (Evolutionary) Game Theory, Reinforcement Learning, Wireless Sensor Networks, Convention Emergence, Social Networks.
